How We Got Here
Thirteen years ago, we started Yotpo to help brands build stronger relationships with their customers. That mission hasn’t changed. But today, we’re entering a new chapter, and I want to share it with you directly.
We began with Reviews because we believed trust was the foundation of growth. Real proof from real customers helped brands stand out. Then we built Loyalty, not just to reward purchases but to reinforce the behaviors that create lasting connections and increase word-of-mouth growth.
As we continued listening to our customers, it became clear that retention didn’t live in just one place. It lived across moments, messages, and channels. So we expanded into Email and SMS with a simple goal: create a unified retention stack. One platform, more value.
In many ways, it worked. We reduced friction, simplified operations, and helped brands act on customer data across more touchpoints.
But the landscape is changing fast. AI is transforming how people shop. It is reshaping discovery, accelerating decision-making, and raising the bar for what shoppers expect from every experience. Brands today need sharper, more focused tools. On the other hand, the opportunities to make a bigger impact feel endless.
Over the last few months, we spoke with hundreds of brands. The feedback was clear: teams want more depth, faster iteration, and tighter integrations in the parts of the stack that matter most. After long, hard thought, we came to realize that our customers need us to enable them to maximize this next wave of innovation, in the areas where we lead and have the greatest impact on them and the market as a whole.
So we’re evolving.
We’ve made the difficult decision to sunset our native Email and SMS products in December of 2025. Instead, we’re focusing fully on building the strongest Reviews and Loyalty platform in the market and partnering with the rest of the industry on deep integrations.
I know many of you trusted us to power critical parts of your retention strategy across Reviews, Loyalty, Email, and SMS. This change affects your team and your workflows, and I don’t take that lightly. I’m grateful for your trust, and I’m sorry for the near term disruption.
Introducing Our Strategic Partnership with Attentive
After a comprehensive evaluation, we’re excited to share that we’ve formed a strategic partnership with Attentive to support our annual customers migrating from Yotpo’s Email and SMS.
Attentive brings enterprise-grade capabilities, a proven track record with leading Ecommerce brands, and a deep commitment to customer support. Their scale, and status as a Shopify Plus Certified Partner and trusted partner to many of the top Ecommerce brands and agencies, gives us complete confidence that they are the ideal partner to you.
This partnership allows us to ensure the most seamless migration process, and best service and value to our customers for years to come, including:
- A dedicated migration path for Yotpo customers. Whether you’re using Email, SMS, or both, Attentive’s team will automatically pull your subscriber data and provide white-glove onboarding and support.
- Yotpo pricing locked in. If you migrate to Attentive before the end of 2025, they will honor your existing Yotpo contract pricing for no less than the first year.
- Deep integrations. All of your Reviews and Loyalty data will flow into Attentive’s platform, helping you continue to create connected, personalized experiences – without starting from scratch.
- Best in class support and performance. Attentive’s tools are battle-tested across top-tier brands, AI is at their core, and their team will help you maintain the performance and reliability you’re used to.
